Changes in Ophira's Website - Hearing wedding bell very near

Hi everyone and good week for you all!

Happy birthday to our beloved August-born fans!

So today is important day for Ophira's Jewelry. You may wonder for what, but please let me keep this as secret until good news come to me. Believe me, I have an urge of sharing the news with you more than anyone else, but again, I need to be patient and wait until I can confirm it's true :). So please be patient with me and cross fingers for my good news coming soon!

Recently I spent most of my time in the library, being a good student (well, you know, sort of) and trying to do as much research for my jewelry business as possible. Good news is that I finally could run away from the crazy heat in Tel Aviv during the day and bad news is that I spent less hours for making my jewelry. However, I finally found some business books I wanted to read (and now my bookshelves are full totally - IKEA is calling me in a very seductive voice lolz). I can never ever imagine myself, having a bachelor degree in business and used to own a business, still have to read tons of books in order to understand the concept of home-based business and web marketing. Especially the books for Dummies... am I a dummy already? ~(=__=")~.

Anyway, yesterday after a lot of effort in arranging my inventory and personal calendar effectively, I managed to make some new stuff for Ophira's Jewelry - tropical fruit tarts, flowers charm & little cute flower basket. I haven't had time to take the photos yet but will do it slowly within next few days. Hence the photo I use here is not really mine, I just use it as a reference photo for anyone who is curious what "fruit tart" looks like.

Also Ophira's Jewelry has a shocking change. Grand Sales have started, thereby if you visit us now, you can see that most of the prices are 50% OFF. The period is only until 31 Aug, so don't hestitate to order and save more!!

Well, moreover, as I said my previous post, there are some major changes in ordering styles for Ophira's Jewelry products. You now can choose which kind of accessories/jewelry, which scent as well as which materials you want for your order.

For example, you want to order our Little Penguin and want it to be a necklace. However you are allergic to silver and you don't like steel/copper, now you can choose the most suitable chain you like for the order- in this case it's gold. Ophira's Jewelry wants to give you more options and being flexible with your order. Also the basic cost displayed now will only be the cost for the charm (Little Penguin), additional material cost will be added in according to your choice (necklace, earrings, hanging, bracelet,etc... or gold, silver chain, etc...). Hence "you only pay for what you want and what you like us to do" - said Ophira's Jewelry :)

If you have any question, email me at minh@ophirasjewelry.com or visit our website.

I will try to create detailed instructions for this change to help our visitors. Hope you guy like this change and continue supporting Ophira's Jewelry as usual!

Have a wonderful week and happy shopping with us!

With love,

Ophira's Jewelry

Scented Jewelry & Grand Sales

Good day everyone!

Today is the day for Ophira's Jewelry (OSJ) monthly Newsletter to be delivered to your Inbox folder. Yet you haven't sign up for our mailing list, you can view it here for now and don't forget to SIGN UP HERE so you won't miss our Welcome Gift.

Lately I have informed you about my application process on first booth in Tel Aviv artist market. In case it doesn't ring a bell, you can review this post HERE. Anyway, I'm excited yet worried now as I have to bring all the samples to committee to convince them that my jewelry is in perfect condition. And it also means that I need to make more samples and designs. Ow!__(>_<)__ Whatever, my adrenaline is up, thereby nothing can stop me lolz. :)

This is our very good news after months waiting. Hence I have decided to launch a special GRAND SALES for Ophira's Jewelry: 50% OFF for all items (except on sales items & new collection). So what are you still waiting for? SHOP NOW & SAVE EVEN MORE before it ends. Promotion only lasts until 31 Aug 2010.

Moreover, I have developed my Polymer Clay jewelry in a brand new direction: Scented Jewelry. As you can see from most of my new tag, it was referred as "Scented Earrings", which I found the way to absorb the scent from fragrance oil to our jewelry, bringing accessories & jewelry to a whole new level - wearing with please and therapy :). Sound great? Even better until you know that you can choose your favorite scent when making order. And if you don't or forget, no worry, I will send you email to remind on your scent choice before shipping out. What do you think? I personally feel happy to finally able to develop this trend (I was thinking of being organic but... hehe... polymer clay itself is not organic already :D).

VISIT US NOW to order or READ MORE on how it works for you.

If you have any question or request, feel free to email me at minh@ophirasjewelry.com. I'd love to receive your comments :).
OK, now I need to go back to my sample preparation. Only 4 days left :). So everyone, have a nice day and a wonderful weekend ahead!

By the way, I have adjusted OSJ website with new page of FAQ. Hope you can find some answers for your concerns there! If not, email me :)

With love,

Ophira's Jewelry

New & New - Lots of News :D

August finally comes!

It seemed to me July was so short, yet summer was still so long with all the heat. Last 2 months were really exciting to me, by every means, especially my very-nice-&-wonderful trips to US & Singapore. Still feeling like sweet dreams never end... but like a song, "all the good things come to an end", leaving behind memories & love which will never be faded away.

So first thing first - Congratz to my beloved friend for her Vietnamese Coffee Shop - Phin - which is opening very soon early of August (sorry sweetie, the shop does need a page or website so I can refer properly :)). The shop design is amazing, cozy yet beautiful with all decorations brought with her from far far away Vietnam. If you are in Houston area (especially in Clear Lake City area), Texas, don't forget to drop by, have a typical Vietnamese cup of coffee & enjoy a moment of relaxing :).

Now back to Ophira's Jewelry latest news, finally we got the call from the artist market regarding my application on last May. Well - I passed the first round - YAY! \(^_^)/ Next, we are going to have a meeting with board of committees to check on our quality next week. If nothing goes wrong, Ophira's Jewelry will have its first booth displayed by end of August (I truly hope so). Everyone, cross fingers for all the best to us!

Moreover, another wonderful news came up to me also in the same time. My Worm collection was sold out and completely becomes more popular than other products, following closely by Little Penguins - in which I designed new version of female with cute pink ribbon & a wedding couple - bride & groom. The first thought appeared to my mind was "Kawaii!!!" (means cute in Japanese). Totally impressed by this result, I have decided to make more Worm & Penguins, and yes, coming together with another August promotion exclusively, again, for subscribers & members. So WATCH OUT and get your own favorite worm warrior or penguin by VISIT US often or just SIGN UP MAILING LIST with us.

Otherwise, as you guy may know, lately I got a lot of jet lag from traveling and inspiration on wire works, giving me "term & condition" to design new look for the field I nearly forgot. I was so pleased with what I have done so far, feminine yet high class look with a little classic. Have you not yet seen any of my wire masterpieces, pass by here and give me your opinions :).

OK anyway, I would like to gently remind you that our Newsletter is coming soon on 5 Aug (Thursday). Hence, our dear subscribers, check your emails often so you don't miss it as sometimes it will go to Spam folder (I don't know why :( ). And our prospective customers, if you'd like to be part of Ophira's Sales Event or simply like to keep update on our products, SIGN UP NOW & RECEIVE FREE Welcome Gift from us as compliment for supporting us.
Any question or comment, please feel free to email me at minh@ophirasjewelry.com

Have a nice working week & Enjoy shopping with us! \(>o<)/

Best regards,

Ophira's Jewelry (Emy)

Newsletter for July - Wonderful trip

Happy Birthday to all July-born fans and customers! Ophira's Jewelry would like to wish you success, health and happiness in your day and everyday in the future.

I'm back, from my trip to US and Singapore. It was such a crazy schedule last few weeks, following by weeks of jet lag and weather changing. Well, but I can't say it's not cool. Indeed, it was absolutely cool especially I had a chance to see my dearest friend, Washington DC and to do many may things for Ophira's Jewelry. However, it was a pity that our event for Ophira's Jewelry didn't go as scheduled and planed. Reason? I had to move my trip and we couldn't arrange place for event in Houston (oh well, in case you don't know, Houston is huge and we got nearly lost many times :) ). So my sincere apology to all our fans and customers who had confirmed coming to this event. Next event, Ophira's Jewelry (OSJ) will definitely arrange more carefully and details (by the way, I am planning for a special event in Vietnam on October as I will be there for my wedding. Are you interested in?)
OK, enough talking, let's back to OSJ newest update. We are upgrading our website after testing and receiving a lot of feedback - thanks to our wonderful friends & customers - for improving the Web Site. I'm really appreciate your help and time in giving me your comments. So for now, our Web Site still works as normal, however, some functions will not display well, which I am trying to fix. Thus some sales products may not be displayed as it should be, but no worry, I will email you the revised invoice before payment is made to ensure you didn't pay more than you should.

Moreover, our blog will be moved to the Website, hence you can check our latest news and updates right from there without typing different address (save more time & give more satisfaction haha). The new blog location I will keep you guys updated, but until then, please do keep visiting us frequently as you always did.

Otherwise, it's July so... we have our July Newsletter coming out. If you haven't signed up for our mailing list, you can view it here. But don't forget to sign up, as you may miss all the sales and promotions exclusively for subscribers (also you will save time in having someone deliver your favorite newsletter to your mail inbox instead). All you need to do is typing your email address, click "subscribe", and here you go. If you are concerned about your privacy, don't be worried as we won't disclose your details with third party, as yes, we only send you newsletter & promotion related to OSJ. No spam, no junk mail. Well, then what are you waiting for? SIGN UP NOW, receive our FREE gift and Get a place in our current July promotion.

Also if you want to review all our newsletters, you can also go HERE to check them out.

Finally, I have decided I would eventually go back into designing some metal jewelry, like I did in the beginning as some customers really liked them. Hence keep your way around here and wait for the grand coming back of OSJ in dangling jewelry - vintage and stylish haha :)).

If you have any design you love to have, feel free to Email me at minh@ophirasjewelry.com

Or can drop me message on my Yahoo Messenger: candy_tery@yahoo.com

Or even can just leave the message on our Web Site :).

Alright? Have a wonderful week and enjoy shopping with us!

With love,

Emy Dang

P.S: Dear all my beloved customers, your reviews and testimonials are very important for me. I'll love to hear your feed back and feeling for OSJ. Hence please do me a favor and write us your opinions so that others can know how you think of us and we can also improve OSJ to meet your standards in future.

Singapore, World Cup and Newsletter

So here I am... back to Singapore. It is a wonderful feeling to be back here, especially to run away from the boredom in Tel Aviv for a while. Like my husband said, it is my vacation, a chance to charge my energy and great opportunity for me to do some shopping :-). Thus, last week I was completely out of "work-mood", wandering every placed I liked, looking for and buying my basic-human-needs (with "s", of course :))). However, it turned out I didn't shop too much, except buying some cosmetics for keeping stock from Body Shop and Laneige, 2 pairs of shoes (well, shoes here is way MUCH cheaper and MORE beautiful than in Israel) and books. It completely surprised me when I didn't buy any clothes haha... Maybe it's because I'm getting old... Oh god, am I? :(

One in many things great about my trip is that I had a chance to borrow all the latest books for Miniature Crafting from library - believe me, it saves me GREAT deal for buying these, either online or in store. I spent most of my time in the Library, reading books and planning for my Marketing strategy/Website adjustments seriously. Well, I learnt a lot, and finally get my head out of the confusion in designing the newsletter as well as other promotion for Ophira's Jewelry. Yahoo!! Can't wait to send you guys our latest newsletter for July, which will come on 1st July, Thursday by email. If you don't remember to SIGN UP, NOW is a good time to do so... A Welcome gift is waiting for you (free shipping offered) as well as other promotion exclusive - which is only for subscribers.

And our current subscribers - don't be worried, you are entitled for this Welcome Gift anyway. We will contact you soon for shipping address verification before sending out your gift. So, if you don't want to waste your FREE SHIPPING included with this welcome gift, SHOP NOW to add more items and SAVE THE BEST DEAL EVER!

All your contact details will not be disclosed to any third party and will be used for Ophira's Jewelry's Newsletter, Promotion or Event Announcement ONLY. Please be assured of this :)

Anyway, back to my trip here, though it was wonderful, watching World Cup in Singapore time zone is really a pain for me. The timing is really really bad (2.30am in the morning and most of them are between the good teams) and my beloved England team played never bad like that before... Haiz... I was thinking if I should make some collection for World Cup (probably soccer ball and face of Kaka??? :)) ). Well, should I?

OK... now it's time for the next news. I will be back to Tel Aviv tomorrow - oh god :( - and will fly to US on this Sunday. My travel plan will include Houston, Washington DC and Virginia (maybe also Texas), and probably I will try to host a small event for Ophira's Jewelry - which you will find out details of invitation and how to attend on our Newsletter on 1st July. One small hint: it will include a lot of giveaways on your own design/choice :). So... Why wait??? SIGN UP NOW before it's too late!

If you have any question, feel free to EMAIL ME. I'd love to receive your emails and comments :)
Have a nice day and nice Shopping with us!

With love,

Emy/Minh Dang

P.S: Did I mention I went to Universal Studio in Singapore and bought a little Gingerbread from SHREK? Well, it was so cool and cute that I kept sleeping with it hihi...

Worms, Mario and preparation for Singapore

I was extremely exhausted these last few days. You can't imagine how hot it was - the weather is getting crazier and crazier... Everyday my body was always sweaty and inside the house it is just so hot that I couldn't concentrate in what I was doing. And that explained why I didn't spend enough time to set up my small photo corner, take the photos under 3 strong lights with extremely high heat and then edit the photos before posting - believe me, this is more that nightmare. I had to choose 2-3 photos from about 15-20 ones I took for each work, and then editing the text, bright and contrast... Oh my oh my, just thinking of it made me sick already haha... I still had about 40 more photos to go through for each product... Wish me luck!

However, last week I did quite a lot of works, starting with multiple styles of cakes - especially the one with roses on top. It was just a beautiful Valentine cake... even though Valentine is still 1 year ahead haha. And not to mention about my success in Kiwi, Orange, Strawberry and Banana cane (I'm so glad) which have cost me a lot of time to figure out how to store and cut it without affecting its shape. Few, finally I could start my favorite fruit cakes :).

Well, besides cakes, I finally took my courage to order a bunch of ceramic mini plates and another 2 books for miniatures reference on Ebay. Now I'm counting days to receive them and start digging more on magnets and Western dishes :)... So excited!!! I also ordered some ice cream glass - waiting for the best offer from supplier and then you can experience the yummy fresh ice cream parfait - perfect food for Summer right?

This week our friends visited us, and they somehow convinced me to try on making Worms and Nintendo Mario accessories. Well, I don't know about Worm, but for Mario, I am a crazy fan and already made some cute Mario Mushroom Earrings and Phone charm. So I tried myself on the Goomba and Worms hihi... Let me know your opinion on these pieces - I just love it. My husband decided to take one Worm as his phone charm - and it has PINK string haha, and I gave one Worm for my friend as a good luck charm for his new job ;))... Both are so excited about those Worms and guess what, I'm getting more orders ;).

Ok. On Sunday I'm going to Singapore with my husband. Well, I haven't prepared anything yet, except working on the website and packing some orders/samples to bring with me there. I guess I won't be able to update my blog frequently for the next 1 week, but I will be available on YM, email and of course for any nice coffee meet up in Singapore.

Another great news you may be interested in, after taking advice from my friend, I decided that we would give free Welcome Gift for any newsletter subscribers, along with Birthday Gift for subscribers who were born on that related month. It will apply for old and new subscribers (so everyone will be happy :)), hence don't hesitate anymore for SIGNING UP our mailing list and check out our new collections NOW!

If you have any question, feel free to Email me!

See you guys soon!

With love,

Emy
P.S: I have changed a bit on my Website layout, so you don't need to register to buy/shop. If you don't wish to register, you won't have to from now! :)

Cakes day - 1 day before important meeting

Hi there, how have you guys been doing?

With me, today was a good day, as in the morning I felt more energetic than yesterday and started making more little cute things. I am absolutely satisfied with my new Premo White Clay - just right for mixing and creating new shape. What a relief!

I have been thinking of making more cup cakes and fruit cakes for jewelry and accessories. Hence now, I came back to try myself on this section. The result was great with many little slices of cakes which were so yummy-looking and irresistible-eating. However, again, I need to work on my photography skill - it sucked :((...
What do I have now? A pair of earrings - Fruit cherry cake with chocolate layers, Lemon cakes, and Cheesecake. I will try to take better photos tomorrow when I have more free time. Believe me, it seems like I am having a cake party - huge one - which any cake-love fans will want to attend :)...

Tomorrow I will have a small meeting with one of the shopping mall for the weekend artisan boutique. Hopefully luck and good news will come to me and so we can kick-start our first craft show for Ophira's Jewelry. Let's cross fingers for it!

For now, wish me luck :)

Ok. Don't forget to sign up for our mailing list and receive the Birthday giveaways if you were born in June. Also, if you have any question, email me! I'm more than happy to check your emails and suggestions.

Have a good night!

Love,

Emy

A new week - new challenge

Well well well, I had a hard time with my polymer clay materials. Last week I ran out of White clay, and unfortunately, my supplier also ran out of Premo White Clay - which was only sold in this specific supplier in Tel Aviv. How cool!!! I had to take Fimo instead - and my bad, i took Fimo SOFT instead of CLASSIC type, hence in the end I couldn't work with it. It was just TOO soft to not get sticky all over the place, not to mention about ruining my entire works and mood. Later, when I couldn't bear it anymore, I decided to challenge myself by running around other suppliers' places with hope of finding the right type. Haiz, it seemed luck also decided to get some rest on those days, leaving me with only one choice - FIMO EFFECT :((... you can imagine how it works - very sparkling but no more, and damn sticky hic hic (T_T)"...

So it explained a lot for the reason why the last weekend I didn't work so much and update my blog. Surfing internet for oversea supplier and watching movie in the cinema would be a good choice for me, at least this time :). Maybe the idea of buying a bunch of polymer clay from oversea won't be a bad idea after all.

Last weekend I went to watch "Letters to Juliet" with my husband. It happened to be a nice movie, even though the chemistry between 2 main characters was a little awkward. Anyway, I like it, especially their journey around Italy - one of must-go places in my travel list... Start dreaming again....

OK, let's go back to my work. Finally today the stock was back, and I got my Premo White Clay - one of basic color if you ask me. Moreover, my dear friend - T- sent me a link of polymer clay tutoring in Korean - very interesting though to be honest, I had no idea what was written there. Never mind, at least they had nice photos to look at :). So I spent most of my morning going through the website, trying to learn more tips. Thank my friend so much for this! I love it!

In the end, I tried myself successfully in making canes of bananas, kiwi, strawberry, apples and sandwiches for my future project - sorry I won't be able to upload the photos with this post, maybe tomorrow I will. Wait until tomorrow to see my new works :). For now, may I introduce you to my new version of Little Donuts Earrings - Strawberry and Chocolate. Isn't it yummy?

Oh, before I go to sleep, just a little introduction about my packaging style - in case some of us didn't know how Ophira's Jewelry packs little cute jewelry. It's origami self designed box with little purple ribbon to tie up, together with small gift card (for you to write the message). 4 sides of the box have our logo, website and information. In the bottom will be a message saying "Made in Vietnam", which shows how even more special the box is. Cool, isn't it?

Don't wait until too late for signing up our mailing list to keep updates on sales, new items, limited discount coupons and other Birthday giveaways....

I will be more delighted to receive your comments and messages on my blog, or just drop me email at minh@ophirasjewelry.com as usual.

Have a great week and see you soon!

Love,

Emy

Hot summer day - Donut treats

Woa, it has been so hot lately for the summer. I was so sweaty and tired that all I wanted to do is sleeping and getting naked to feel cooler. Aw... We had a busy week with me running around the city trying to set up my miniature jewelry booth in some of famous shopping mall here - and still need more luck next week for the appointments so I can kick the start already for Ophira's Jewelry official launching :). Wish me luck!

Yesterday I finally finished painting my booth stand, but still need to decorate more so next entry I will try to attach the photo so you can see how I design my booth (well, for now, one hint: all yellow, silver and light blue - is it weirdo???). And last night, we went out with my husband's sister for the movie "Killers" with Auston Kutcher - very very very funny. You must see it also. I was so in love with Auston and have to say the chemistry between him and Katherine Heigl is amazing. A recommended one to see!

Today is our weekend, so I didn't work so much, except I woke up a little bit early to make cherry tart since the image of cherry tart kept spinning around my head :)). Luckily it turns out nice as it's my first try. And as I already had the mood, my little-working-time turned into the whole afternoon, ending with some more new pieces which I am so proud of. Check it out my favorite for today - Little Donuts Earrings, perfect for summer date :).

Oh yeah, my in laws visited us this afternoon, and guess what, my mom-in-laws bought from me some items :)).Then we had lunch and laughed. It was so wonderful family gathering :).
Ok. Anyway, check it out my updates for some earrings and magnets on Ophira's Jewelry website and don't forget to subscribe with us to receive all the latest news for Ophira's Jewelry SALES or FREE giveaways.

Have a nice weekend everyone!

With love,

Emy

June Newsletter and super busy week

OK, here I am. I have told myself that I will try to update all my blog and website daily, however, I was so wrapped up by all administrative works and my other job which - believe me - is not as fun as making jewelry. Yesterday, finally I submitted the application for our Artist Weekend Craft Show in Tel Aviv and now I am waiting for the result. Hopefully good news will come and cheer me on. The weather is super super hot, but since I had a lot of things to solve, I ended up spending most of my day running from place to place (NOT a single place is NEAR to each other... haiz) with hope that I could come back home early and started my jewelry. Well, to be honest, yesterday was a productive day for me, on operation aspect, not on jewelry making aspect. I managed to get information on joining Artist Boutiques in other shopping malls, well I have appointment next Wednesday for discussing about cost and other things. Yay! Cross fingers for my plan!

And last night, we ended the day by spending the whole night to correct the Newsletter (which we found out it was not displayed on email properly) and I finished making the small stand for jewelry display by paper. Wow, it's wonderful!

Today started by me rushing for the first batch of shipments sending to my clients. Anyone born in this month, watch out and register for Newsletter NOW to get our giveaways birthdays gift - Hamburger Phone Hanging.

Free shipping is offered for this birthday treat also. Oh yeah, let's get going!

And anyone who hasn't subscribed, you can view the Newsletter here, but don't forget to sign up for the next one by keying your email in newsletter register box in Ophira's Jewelry website.

Anyway, back to my work, I tried the new Silicon Sealant and managed to create a yummy Creamie Cake Magnet which can make you feel hungry straight away. Moreover, one of my most pleased work is combining Waffles with Tropical fruit, giving Summer Waffles - a must-have necklace charm for the Summer. And more more tasty miniatures updated also... If you are interested in ordering, all these are available on my website, just click the name and here you go. Happy shopping!

Have a nice day and email me if you have any question, as usual.

With love,

Emy

P.S: Don't forget to take your photos with our jewelry and send me/share on facebook - we appreciate your help on showing how nice Ophira's Jewelry works look on you :). Thank you!

Shipping term revised and a crazy party

The weekend was away. Weekend is also good and full of resting, but last week it was super fun to me. We was invited to the beach camp - which included dancing floor, getting super drunk and sleeping outside like normal backpackers. Well, have to say, I was in the middle of saying no to it, since I was in the mood of making my new Chocolate cream cake magnet and it was so yummy-looking that I couldn't help myself from making more. In the end, it was my husband to kick my ass out of the house and head to the party - and to agree, I did enjoy it quite a lot. I guess an artist sometimes deserves to get crazy dancing. Haha :)!!

The next morning I woke up quite early in fact, as being disturbed by the sand in my sleeping bad, plus a bunch of people sleeping next to me moving and kicking me all the time. The sea was beautiful, the weather was damn hot, but the wind is very very cool. However, we left the camp quite early to Golan Heights and caught up with my in-laws' Shabat dinner. And then, I officially started my weekend digging on making the stand for my jewelry & Miniatures booth (you don't want to know, it's freaking disaster in the end) after coming back from picking cherry in the yard.
So I didn't get much time to work on my Miniatures/Jewelry as usual. Instead, I spent most of my time to read about Miniatures techniques and inspiration. In the end, I managed to come up for several new try on Strawberry Chocolate Cream Cakes, Donuts and Earrings. I was so in love with them. The only thing I was not so pleased was that I didn't know how to make the cream/frosting that looks like real one. Hence I spent hours searching over each website I could find about miniature, and god blessed me, I finally found my saver - Silicon Sealant. Thank God!

OK... Here comes the interesting news. After receiving feedback from my friends about the shipping term written on my website, I finally decided to revise it so it will not cause any confusion or misunderstanding anymore. Anyway guys, check it out now to see the revised SHIPPING TERM which is more reasonable.

Oh yeah, and I went to watch Sex and the City 2 with my girlfriend. To be honest, this is the first time after 2-3 years I actually went to watch movies with other female friends (normally I was alone or with my husband). The movie was fun, and charming as usual (I love the fashion) but... it is really only for women :))...Anyway, a good choice for you to forget about other things and release your stress with...

By the way, tomorrow is the day for our June Newsletter. Don't miss this issue as well as other chance to get free giveaways from us!!!! Sign up your email and enjoy the fun!

Love,

Emy

Miniature and new Bunny family

OK... It is getting hotter and hotter every day since summer has come. And my love to miniature has been increased in rocket-speed for last few weeks haha.

Yesterday my dear Cancer friend, Shanny visited us after a while, and I was extremely happy to see her again. We had dinner in Moon Restaurant, an extremely expensive Japanese restaurant in town (absolutely expensive since its name is Moon - and Moon is unique - hahaha), but the food turned out well-tasted. I loved the Sushi covered by small piece of Corn, and thought to myself I needed to make these by Polymer Clay in small scale (1:12) one day :). After dinner, we went back my house and started to explore about all my works so far (including new waffles, apple, bear, panda and kaola faces I just made). So in the end, I had very good evening... Great mood to start with something nice... hmm... I wonder what should I make next. Any idea?

Today I am going to finish up my form for the Artists Market Show on my Polymer Miniature Jewelry. To be honest, it gives me chill just by thinking of getting approved for having small stand there. All I need to do is preparing best samples, best photos of my works and waiting for the approval... Then... cross my fingers for the results... Let's hope everything is going accordingly to our plan for promoting Ophira's Jewelry haha :)
Ah, I need to introduce you guys my newest accompany/models - Bunny's family. They came to me from my husband after his business trip (well, he knew so well I love these cutie cutie stuff) and the name Bunny/Usagi popped up my mind. Haha, I'm freaking Sailormoon fan :)...Anyway, they were so adorable and perfect for being models for my products. Anywa, having them was my childhood's dream even since I was little.

Anyway, I decided to organize my booth a little bit, after seeing while amazing work from other artists on internet. So this weekend, after having the beach party, we will try to find some wood and ceramics and let my husband show off his building skill haha. Cross fingers again for that!

One last gentle remind, only 3 days left for you to register our June Newsletter. Don't miss this issue as well as the monthly giveaways coming only in the Newsletter!

Have a nice weekend ahead, everyone!

With love,

Emy

Polymer Clay - New destination

Welcome back to our blog!

Lately I have been busy with my daily life and other things that I needed to settle down and arrange so that I could go back to the track I always long for. In the end, everything turns out quite well and here I am, down to earth again, back to jewelry and our beloved blog.

What's new about me and Ophira's Jewelry?

Oh well, OK I have found a new field to try on... Or you can say, Polymer Clay has found me when I was depressed and stuck with inspirations. To be honest, I was obsessed with Polymer Clay in the beginning of my Jewelry Journey - but I never had a chance to continue digging on this field, until one beautiful day, our beloved grand mom-in-law gave me tiny little cook book about Polymer Clay. From that moment, I knew I couldn't get away with Polymer Clay Miniatures.... because it's just beautiful and easy-to-wear in every occasion, plus it can give you a fresh air for a long boring working day :)... a simple way to light up your day with.

And a must-have cute accessory for your boring-look bag, phone or your home key... a way to shine yourself among a crowd.

Especially, the price for each work - after calculating all the cost - is really affordable for everyone, varies from 3-6USD/pc for handphone hangings, key chain, magnet etc... and from 5 to 8USD/pc for earrings, necklace, bracelet, etc... Very cheap, right?

Kyanos - Ancient Greek Blue

Well, following the trend of Greece inspired mood, the masterpiece I am going to talk about today is a totally different story. It was not based on any Greek mythology (even though I was dying to... and in fact I was a little bit obsessed with Poseidon - or maybe with the ocean color), and it was not so complicated work. Indeed, it was very simple, just a combination of blue, green and special lamp-work gems to create another view of this ocean color reflect on jewelry - another name for blue - KYANOS

Why "Kyanos"?

In Greek mythology, the god Zeus would make rain when he was sad (crying), and a storm when he was angry. And Kyanos was a name used in Ancient Greek to refer to dark blue tile (in English it means blue-green or cyan). And hence, it explained why this masterpiece has its own special long shape and combination of three main colors - symbolize for ocean, land and storm with living creatures - on earth.

Materials: special lamp work gems with flower inside, light blue and green stone.

Weight: totally light.

Price: updated on our website.

Ariela & Austin - combination of bronze and classical look

OK... Following my new experience in using more dark color with classical look, new designed came up to me and hence, I got two new pieces of work, same style but different inspiration story.

Both of the pieces have similar bronze style, with small bronze rings was designed into flower-look-alike circle (as you can see). It is required a lot of effort and patience to put one by one ring to create complete flower. Well, totally I think there are 12 flower-look-alike circles - so proud of myself :)

Anyway, welcome to ARIELA and AUSTIN

ARIELA - Bracelet

Why "ARIELA"?

Ariela - or Ariel, "is the name of an angel, sometimes also of a demon, and of a city, whence called Acropolis, where the idol is worshiped" - according to a German occultist. Ariel - also was known as the name of little mermaid, princess of the sea and a brave girl who gave up everything for love without asking for return.

So it's explained why I choose this name for my piece. Firstly, it was created based on the image of the brave little princess - very soft and fragile in look, but very strong determined mind in her personality. Secondly, Ariela is the angel who brings people hope to live as well as find their own happiness. And hence, the bracelet was created to dedicate for every girl, who is brave, loving and cheerful - no matter how hard live may become.

Materials: bronze plated rings, shells and light green small gems.

Price: updated in our website.

AUSTIN - Earrings

Why "AUSTIN"?

I once had a chance to read Jane Austen's novels, in which there is Pride and Prejudge. To be honest, I fell in love with the story immediately (even though, it's kind of discouraging to read through hundreds of pages :))) and somehow, when I looked at the pendant while thinking of new design, it reminded me of Jane Austin - or to be more exact, of her heroines in all of her books with strong mind and elegant English lady-like. And as a result, I decided to name it Austin - should I say the name choose me or I choose the name?

So here it comes - tough bronze symbols for determined person, however the pendant, the flower-like and little gems brings a smooth and charming image of elegant English lady - wherever or whatever she does.

Materials: special pendants with lady image, bronze plated rings and small green gems.

Weight: no concern. They are not so heavy, as I have tested them with my weak ears (plus the holders are stronger than normal so it helps a lot in not letting the ears bear so much weight under them).
